For Interventions: Episodes, a web series in place of Scout’s annual design conference due to COVID-19, I was asked to speak about accessible design. During this presentation, I explained accessibility and why it’s important to consider throughout your process as a designer. I provided key guidelines, referencing WCAG 2.1, to improve design, as well as resources to analyze design work for accessibility compliance.

This event was about the requirements and challenges that designers face when designing for accessibility, while finding the right balance with aesthetics. I shared how MathWorks made product colors accessible with a case study about my work on MathWorks Visual Design Standards.
